A lovely cosy tunic sweater for age 7-8 is crocheted in several crochet textures and colours. The sweater is named after Torshavn, capital of the Faroe Islands which I visited in 2019. These unique islands situated between the Shetland Islands and Iceland in the north Atlantic, are well worth a visit.

The soft and cuddly sweater has ribbing around the neck and cuffs on the long sleeves and an unusual scalloped border along the lower edging. An ideal sweater to snuggle in for the winter and would look great worn with leggings or jeans.

The tunic measures: chest 28”/71 cm, length from shoulder to lower scalloped edging 22”/56 cm, length of sleeve from underarm 13.5”/34.5 cm

Washing: Machine wash 30c, low heat tumble dry, do not iron

This girl’s designer tunic top is hand crocheted in a pretty mixed pastel coloured yarn. The crinkle yarn feels very soft and the pattern is a textured subtle rib effect. The tunic has dropped shoulders with short sleeves and a relaxed open neckline. It has a feminine flounce around the base and would be ideal to wear with shorts, jeans or leggings.

This casual tunic is ideal to pack for spring/summer holidays as it adds some warmth to counteract breezes and does not require ironing which is a plus!! The pastel coloured variegated yarn is pink, peach, green, yellow, white and beige.

Tunic measurements :-
Chest 30”/76 cm
Length from shoulder to base of flounce 17”/ 43 cm
Sleeve underarm measures 4.5” approx

Yarn used is Caribbean Calypso by King Cole,  97% acrylic, 3% polyamide

Machine wash 30c, dry flat, do not tumble dry

Fingerless Gloves

New to Girls Accessories on the website! Two of my own designs for fingerless gloves (which are currently on trend for the winter) are handmade in a crochet lace pattern. Both gloves are for girls aged 6-8, one in a blue acrylic yarn and the other in a multi-coloured 75% wool yarn. Both can be popped in the washing machine at 40c. The gloves are £7 each, plus £3 P & P. Please contact me if you want to request another colour option.

Faux Fur Neck Warmer / Scarf

Designed and hand crocheted in a luxury ‘lynx’ faux fur yarn – it just pops over the head. The neck warmer feels light, cozy and very soft and strokable. The item is 100% polyester and is reversible. It can also be worn as a stylish shoulder wrap across the shoulders of a coat.The item is fully machine washable at 40c, but do not tumble dry or iron.

Age 7-8  Around the neck is 26”/66 cm, depth is 5.5”/14 cm

Loose fitting sundress in a lovely butterfly print. The 100% cotton fabric was designed by Robert Kaufman and is very colourful with a deep blue background.
The dress has a narrow curved neckband which extends into ties at the shoulders. There are gathers at the front and back neckline, French seams and a frill at the hemline finishes the dress.

Dress: Chest 34 ins, 86 cms due to gathers, Waist 37 ins 94 cms due to gathers, Length from shoulder seam to hem of dress is 29 ins, 73.5 cms

The dress fabric is 100% cotton. The dress can be machine washed at 40c. Iron on cotton setting.

Skye dress for little girls aged 8

SKYE dress for age 8  £28.99, One available for age 8

This unique and pretty sleeveless dress is ideal for summer days. The dark blue fabric is a soft feel cotton but looks like homespun linen. The delightful floral sprigged machine embroidery on the fabric gives the dress a feminine and country look. There is a deep frill at the hem and little frill on the top of the two curved pockets. The pockets are trimmed with a little bow in the same fabric.

The dress has a lined and top-stitched bodice, round neck and the lower dress falls from soft gathers. There is a concealed zip at the back. For cooler days the dress can be worn with a T-shirt or blouse underneath.

Dress: Chest 28½ ins, 72.5 cms, Waist falls several inches below bodice seam so plenty of room due to gathers, Length from shoulder seam to hem of dress is 31 ins, 79 cms

The dress fabric is 100% cotton. The dress can be machine washed 40c with dark colours. Iron on hot.

Denim. Tough as old boots. However, this black denim pinafore dress has a romantic softer side as the fabric has beautiful machine embroidered pink and purple little flowers with trailing stems and green leaves. The dress is designed to be worn with a jumper or T-shirt underneath. It has little cap sleeves on the shoulders, a round neckline and a zip at the back. Pretty and practical for cooler days.

This sleeveless summer dress features a 100% cotton fabric in a stunning design of large red poppies. The dress has an unusual shaped neckline and a lined bodice with top stitching. There is a concealed zip at the back and there are gentle folds falling from the bodice which is slightly higher than the normal waistline. Tres chic! Ideal for holidays.

My latest handmade dress is ‘Set Sail’ for age 8 priced £28.99. It has a maritime theme and is made of 100% soft cotton fabric. The sleeveless dress has a square neck, lined bodice with soft gathers at the waist, side seam pockets and a concealed zip. The unusual fabric is a nautical design of handwritten ships log with sketches of sail boats, maps, lighthouses, starfish, seahorses, fish and seagulls against a cream background. Prairie dress

My latest design is PRAIRIE, a chocolate brown jersey dress for age 8. It reminds me of travelling across the Canadian prairies before the wheat had emerged and the vastness of the earth and sky created an unbroken endless horizon. The dress has a hand embroidered appliqué folk art design on the front bodice with flounces and frills on the rest of the dress creating a feminine country style. There is a co-ordinating floral fabric on the long sleeves, flounce and frill edging to the buttonholes on the back bodice. The dress bodice is lined and has a round neckline. Flowers and chocolates – what every girl loves!

With autumn / winter upon us we notice the beautiful changing colours of the season. ‘Bracken’ is a 100% wool girls jacket for age 8 @ £52.99, which can be found on the accessories page of the website. The fabric features the colours of russet brown autumn leaves and bracken, with thin lines of sky blue, fawn and black forming checks. The jacket has a flared peplum waist, long sleeves, a round neck and is fully lined. The leather trims on the jacket add a unique designer touch.

My latest limited edition 'Let's Party' designer dress is a stunning red jersey dress with long sleeves and double hanky hem for age 6 & 8. The dress is comfortable to wear , machine washable and comes with a separate decorative designer belt. The belt should be handwashed very gently if at all. This dress would look fab with my cream faux fur jacket.
