These white designer crochet cardigans have a large strawberry border along the lower edge and feature 2 separate rows of smaller berries circling the whole cardigan. These unique cardigans have a drop shoulder sleeve design with a crochet picot trim around the wrists. A large 3-D crochet strawberry and loop fastens at the front. A unique handmade cardigan design.

There are 3 sizes of the cardigan available:-

Age 5   £28 cardigan chest 28”/71 cm (to fit chest 24”/61cm), length from shoulder 12”/30.5cm

Age 7   £29 cardigan chest 30”/76cm (to fit chest 26.5”/67.5cm), length from shoulder 13.5”/34.5cm

Age 8   £30 cardigan chest 31”/79cm (to fit chest 27”/68.5cms), length from shoulder 15.25”/38.5cm

The cardigans are made with mixed fibers, mainly cotton: 53% cotton, 33% viscose, 14% linen white yarn, the strawberries are 100% cotton, the green trim yarn is 60% silk, 30% wool, 10% cashmere.

Washing: gentle machine wash at 30c in a mesh laundry bag with garment inside out to avoid snagging, don’t use fabric conditioner, dry flat on a towel, do not tumble dry.

Ice Cream Summer Tunic Top

This unique and pretty cotton tunic top features delicious icecream sundaes, cherries and polka dots. The tunic forms a point at both front and back and the red bodice has an invisible zip and hook and eye closure at the back. The short sleeves are also in the same icecream print. The red and white check and lace edging is pretty and a red satin ribbon ties at the back or front.

The tunic top measures: chest around the underarm 26”/66 cm, waist 26”/66cm, length from shoulder to bottom of side seam 14”/35.5 cm, length from shoulder to V point at base of tunic 17.5”/44.5 cm, around hip 27”/68.5 cm.

Materials: 100% cotton, satin ribbon, invisible zip, metal hook and eye closure

Washing: Machine wash 40c, warm steam iron for dress, warm iron for satin ribbon

Designed and hand crocheted in a luxury ‘lynx’ faux fur yarn – it just pops over the head. The neck warmer feels light, cozy and very soft and strokable. The item is 100% polyester and is reversible. It can also be worn as a stylish shoulder wrap across the shoulders of a coat.The item is fully machine washable at 40c, but do not tumble dry or iron.

I’ve designed and made these girls crochet sweaters - Mia age 2-3 (top), Emma age 4-5 (middle) and Olivia age 6-7 (bottom). They are a fun design with bobbles on the front and a contrast colour on the wrists and gentle flared lower edge. The smallest size has handmade buttons on the shoulders to make it easy to slip over the child’s head. All are made with a luxury acrylic yarn which is machine washable. These unique casual sweaters would look great with jeans or leggings.

SAILOR DRESS & JACKET for age 5 £41.99, One available for age 5

Unique nautical style white dress comes with its own little jacket. The sleeveless dress is made in a crisp and sturdy cotton drill fabric and has a lined bodice. It has a round neck, thin white rope trim on the shoulders and a concealed zip at the back. The dress flares from the waist and there is a separate navy belt with silver coloured clasp. Also the dress is designed so that a detachable light blue sailor collar can be slotted through the trim at the shoulders to hold it in place. The dress is versatile as it is designed to be worn as either a plain white style or sailor dress style – the choice is yours! The edge to edge unlined jacket has elbow length sleeves, a round neck and sits on the waistline. The cotton fabric is a blue/grey colour with woven vertical stripes that look like ships rigging. This lovely summer outfit is made in 100% cotton. Look on the accessories page for a matching sailors knot bag that would complete the designer outfit.

One available for age 5

A beautiful party dress for age 5 where the dress design is simple as the fabric is the star. The blue fabric is taffeta which has a lovely sheen.  Its machine embroidered with red flowers and trailing stems. The A-line dress has a chic little frill at the hem, and the round neck and armholes are bound in the same fabric. A red ribbon bow trims the front neck and there is one button at the back neck covered in the taffeta fabric.

Dress: Chest 26 ins, 66 cms. , Waist 28.5 ins 72.5 cms , Length from shoulder seam to hem of dress is 24 ins 61 cms

The dress fabric is taffeta. The dress should be warm hand washed due to the delicate embroidery, iron on warm.

Australian birds print fabric in 100% cotton makes a lovely colourful sunhat for ages 5 or 6. The hat is finished with a green bow at the back.

The hat brim is 3 ins , 8 cms wide and the head size is 21 ins, 53.5 cms.

The sun hat  is machine washable at 40 degrees C, iron on cotton setting.

Blue Lagoon dress

BLUE LAGOON  dress for little girls aged 5.

 

A lovely deep turquoise colour with an unusual hand printed Japanese silky feel fabric on the bodice. The turquoise cotton sleeves and gathered skirt have scalloped hems like gentle waves. The elbow length sleeves can be turned up so that the wavy edge forms cuffs.

The dress has French seams, a round neck with ties and a small bow at the front. You can almost hear the gentle waves lapping on the edge of the lagoon! Ideal for summer for those living in the southern hemisphere or add tights and a cosy cardigan to add warmth for the autumn in the northern hemisphere.

Chest 25 ins, 63.5 cms, Length from shoulder seam to skirt hem is 23.5 ins 60 cms.Sleeve length from shoulder 9 ins, 23 cms.Waist is below the line of the gathers on the skirt.

The fabric. Bodice is 100% acetate crepe, rest of dress is 100% cotton.

Washing. Hand wash separately in warm water due to hand printed bodice, warm iron.

Aotearoa dress

Looking for a dress for a 5 year old that’s a little bit different? Look no further as ‘Aotearoa’ fits the bill. This little sundress is ideal for the beach and is made in a very soft 100% cotton fabric from New Zealand. The quirky fabric design has NZ stamps on a navy blue background. . The dress gently flares from gathers on a narrow curved neckband and has ties at the shoulders.  Aotearoa is a Maori word meaning the land of the long white cloud. I bought the unusual fabric whilst travelling around New Zealand in 2007/08. It is a beautiful country with fantastic scenery, pristine beaches and friendly people. I ♥ NZ!

ANNIE dress and clutch bag

New from Serendipity Girls Designer Dresses

Last week I was working under rather difficult circumstances due to a gas leak outside my house as the pipe had fractured. The supply had to be cut off. This meant that in temperatures of -5c to -7c for over 24 hours there was no central heating. A few fan heaters gave some warmth until the gas men replaced the pipes. Anyhow, my newest dress called ‘Annie’ is now finished – a special occasion dress for age 5. The dress has a black velvet semi-fitted bodice, floating cap sleeves in gold and black lace and a gathered skirt in black fabric with thin vertical lines of gold and silver lurex. The dress has a side zip, is fully lined and also included is a small clutch bag in matching fabric. Roll on summer , I can’t wait!

FACT: My "Scarlet" dress has a real painterly quality

My latest design "scarlet" is for age 5 and is a unique one-off dress. The lovely floral fabric has an irridescent shine which makes the scarlet poppies glow . The style of the dress allows the fabric to take centre stage rather than compete. This gorgeous dress is like a breath of summer and has a painterly quality about it. The promise of an English spring and summer is just around the corner.

Once again I really enjoyed designing and creating this lovely silk-like dress with a heavenly fabric & print for your little princesses aged 5.

I now have 3 Faux Fur jackets, for ages 3❷4,5❷6 and 7❷8. The fur is just SO SOFT, I wish we had "Touch screen" techniques on the internet which enabled you to really feel the jacket in the picture. Maybe that is technology for the future ;-D

Many people have told me how well the jacket goes with each of my Sophie or Poppy dresses for your little 4 year olds.
