This blue and white cotton dress has a charming print design of the English coast featuring lighthouses, sailing boats, beach huts and lifeboat stations. This unique dress has a round neck, back zip, short sleeves and a useful side pocket for collecting shells. There is top-stitching around the neckline and hem. The dress is just above the knee and is A-line in shape.

Fabric is 100% cotton.

Dress measurements: Chest 26”/66cm, waist 27”/68.5cm, shoulder seam to hem 21.5”/54.5cm.

Machine wash at 40c, iron on cotton setting.

Melissa dress

Melissa is a one off special occasion dress for little girls ages 3. This pretty little dress is made in an antique gold colour fabric of creased satin which has lace panels of different widths stitched over the top. The dress has a round neck with thin gold braid trim, long sleeves and a full gathered skirt. There are sash ties at the sides to make a bow. The back of the dress has a toggle and loop fastening. The gold coloured metal toggles are antique and add a gleam of gold as the finishing touch to this lovely dress design.

Strawberry dress by SerendipityGDDs

“What have you done today to make you feel proud?”

I was listening to the inspirational song called Proud, sung by Heather Small, whilst finishing my latest dress ‘Strawberries’. Every dress that I create is a proud achievement when it finally comes together.

Sometimes I start out with a sketched design and then amend it as I go along. Sometimes the addition of a trim or button makes the dress come alive and it ‘steps out of the ordinary’.

The red satin ribbon trim on ‘Strawberries’ was not planned at the beginning but I thought it added zing to the finished dress and emphasised the colour of strawberries. The fully lined sundress is made for a 2 year old and has a lovely strawberry print on cotton voile. As it’s 100% cotton it is machine washable so it doesn’t matter if ice cream gets dropped down the front!

XMAS IDEAS: Faux Fur Jacket & Music dress by SerendipityGDDs

New from Serendipity Girls Designer Dresses

I now have 2 Faux Fur jackets, one for age 5-6 and one for age 7-8. The fur is just SO SOFT, i wish we had "Touch screen" techniques on the internet which enabled you to really feel the jacket in the picture. Maybe that is technology for the future ;-D
