A unique designer crochet sweater for girls age 9/10. Purple/violet and green are secondary colours on the colour wheel and this sweater’s colours certainly ‘pop’ and get attention! There is plenty of texture provided by the lime green ‘bobble’ stitch circling around the sweater yoke and the purple textured stitch for the rest of the garment.

The seamless sweater features a cute frill around the base and there is ribbing on the cuffs and neckline. The quality yarn used to make this sweater is anti-pilling and extremely soft, so it’s comfortable to wear.

Measurements of finished sweater: chest 30”/76 cm, length from shoulder to base of frill 17”/43 cm (i. e below the waist), sleeve length at underarm is 15.5”/ 39.5 cm.

Materials used: 100% premium anti-pilling acrylic yarn.

Washing: gentle machine wash 40c, tumble dry low/60.

A gorgeous textured girls sweater in deep pink. It has a curved yoke featuring popcorn crochet stitches, long sleeves and a feminine flounced ruffle around the base. The designer sweater is made from a pattern called Hailstorm by Mon Petit Violon, a popular and talented crochet designer. The sweater is seamless with ribbing on the collar and cuffs. The yarn used to make this item is very soft and comfortable to wear.

Measurements of finished sweater: chest 29”/74cm, length from shoulder 19”/48cm, sleeve length from underarm to wrist 13¼”/34cm.

Materials used: 100% acrylic premium yarn (Hayfield), manufactured in West Yorkshire, UK by Sirdar Yarns. Sirdar have been making yarns in England since 1880.

Washing: Delicate machine wash 40c, dry flat or low heat tumble dry. Suggest item is placed in a mesh laundry bag so it does not snag on other laundry items with buttons, Velcro or zips.

Torshavn Tunic Sweater

A lovely cosy tunic sweater for age 7-8 is crocheted in several crochet textures and colours. The sweater is named after Torshavn, capital of the Faroe Islands which I visited in 2019. These unique islands situated between the Shetland Islands and Iceland in the north Atlantic, are well worth a visit.

The soft and cuddly sweater has ribbing around the neck and cuffs on the long sleeves and an unusual scalloped border along the lower edging. An ideal sweater to snuggle in for the winter and would look great worn with leggings or jeans.

The tunic measures: chest 28”/71 cm, length from shoulder to lower scalloped edging 22”/56 cm, length of sleeve from underarm 13.5”/34.5 cm

Washing: Machine wash 30c, low heat tumble dry, do not iron

A beautiful cream crochet lace jacket, ideal for a flower girl or for any special occasion. Handmade in a lovely crochet lace design, this designer jacket has long sleeves and a narrow scallop edging around the neck. The jacket has crochet ties at the front and there are scallops around the base. The sleeves have a textured pattern in contrast to the front/back, with a picot trim at the wrist.

The jacket measures 30”/76cm around the chest, length from shoulder is 16”/40.5 cm and the underarm sleeve length is 13.5” /34 cm.

The jacket is made from a soft 100% acrylic baby aran yarn, so feels soft to the touch.

Washing: machine washable 30c, cool tumble dry. Do not iron. May dry clean. Suggest item is place in a mesh laundry bag when machine washing to avoid snagging on other items.

I’ve designed and made these girls crochet sweaters - Mia age 2-3 (top), Emma age 4-5 (middle) and Olivia age 6-7 (bottom). They are a fun design with bobbles on the front and a contrast colour on the wrists and gentle flared lower edge. The smallest size has handmade buttons on the shoulders to make it easy to slip over the child’s head. All are made with a luxury acrylic yarn which is machine washable. These unique casual sweaters would look great with jeans or leggings.
