A pretty summer cardigan is hand crocheted in a white cotton yarn in a lacy wave pattern. There is a turn-back front neck collar fastened with a single pearl button. There is an unusual flounced edging on the short sleeves and lower edge of the cardigan. This designer cardigan would look pretty with a special dress for a birthday party or summer wedding.

The cardigan measures: Chest 25”/63.5cm, length from shoulder to lower edging is 13”/33cm.

Handmade with Patons 100% cotton yarn. Wash in warm soapy water, do not wring, wrap in a towel to absorb most of the water and lay flat to dry on another towel. Can be lightly pressed with a warm iron if required.

A crochet designer cardigan in a wavy lace pattern in blue and turquoise colours. Made in a soft 100% cotton yarn, the lightweight cardigan has a ruffled crochet edging on the short sleeves. The same ruffle edging on the lower edging of the cardigan creates a curled wave effect. A turquoise button closes the neck below the turn back collar. The back neck, collar and front edging form little blue scallop shells. This unique summer cardigan reminds us of the wonderful sea colours on a lovely summer’s day.

Cardigan measures: Chest 28”/71cm. Length from shoulder seam to lower edge is 16”/40.5 cm.

This pretty dress has a printed cotton bodice with red poppies and a plain red cotton jersey skirt with soft pleats at the waist. The lower dress is lined and there are little sleeves and a round neckline. There are 3 vintage buttons at the back of the dress.

This sleeveless cotton dress has a quirky and unusual fabric design of hens and bows tumbling over blue & white thin stripes. The dress has soft gathers falling from just above the waist and the bodice is fastened at the back with three handmade chunky buttons in the same fabric. This dress is a cute little cotton one with an unusual print design of Australian birds perched amongst the wattle. My inspiration was my love of these birds from trips to Australia we have had in both 2008 & 2013. The lorikeets were feeding from my hand at the Top Tourist site at Lake Maraboon near Emerald Queensland on 25/8/2008. See the picture.

My latest design is MAISIE . A cute pink pinafore dress and separate blouse for a 2 year old, made in a lovely soft feel fabric. The dress is fastened with 2 pink heart buttons on each shoulder and it has an embroidered braid trim across the front and back bodice featuring ice-skating bears and fir trees.

The co-ordinating pink long sleeved blouse has a small collar and buttons at the back. A gorgeous pink outfit.

PIPPA dress and reversible belt

My latest little girls dress design launched 21/02/12 (how's that for a palindrome?) was surprisingly inspired by a fish! I watched a TV programme about the Great Barrier Reef and saw a purple and orange fish. The dress is called ‘Pippa’ and is for girls aged 3. The trendy double hanky hem design is in a plain purple cloth with a sweetheart neckline. It is sleeveless, with two buttons at the back and a pop of colour with a detachable belt  in orange /lime green which is reversible to feature either colour. The dress has a lined bodice, French seams and would certainly attract admiring glances.

Sculptural dress designing - My new RUBY dress

A gorgeous rich ruby red crystal pleated dress for age 2. It has little short sleeves and pleats fall from the waist. The buttons at the back of the dress are an unusual heraldic design showing a 'coat of arms' - very English! The twisted trim at the waist creates a sculptural feel to the dress design. One of my hobbies is family tree research and I discovered my 5th great grand uncle , Daniel Masters (1712-1746) was a tailor in Swanage, Dorset and he had an 18 year old apprentice to help him for 3 years. At the end of the term Daniel had to make the apprentice a 'goode new suit for Holy-Days and another for the Working-Days'
