SKYE dress for age 8  £28.99, One available for age 8

This unique and pretty sleeveless dress is ideal for summer days. The dark blue fabric is a soft feel cotton but looks like homespun linen. The delightful floral sprigged machine embroidery on the fabric gives the dress a feminine and country look. There is a deep frill at the hem and little frill on the top of the two curved pockets. The pockets are trimmed with a little bow in the same fabric.

The dress has a lined and top-stitched bodice, round neck and the lower dress falls from soft gathers. There is a concealed zip at the back. For cooler days the dress can be worn with a T-shirt or blouse underneath.

Dress: Chest 28½ ins, 72.5 cms, Waist falls several inches below bodice seam so plenty of room due to gathers, Length from shoulder seam to hem of dress is 31 ins, 79 cms

Australian birds print fabric in 100% cotton makes a lovely colourful sunhat for ages 5 or 6. The hat is finished with a green bow at the back.

‘Karleen’ is a lovely summer dress for a little girl age 4, £28.99. This unique cotton dress is a made from an unusual print design of colourful Australian birds perched amongst the wattle (check out my photos on the video of some of the birds – my favourites are rainbow lorikeets, galahs and sulphur crested cockatoos).  The dress is sleeveless, has a round neck and a fully lined bodice. There is a concealed back zip and the lower half of the dress has gentle folds flaring from just above the waist. The dress is ideal to take on holiday or for a summer barbecue.

This dress is a cute little cotton one with an unusual print design of Australian birds perched amongst the wattle. My inspiration was my love of these birds from trips to Australia we have had in both 2008 & 2013. The lorikeets were feeding from my hand at the Top Tourist site at Lake Maraboon near Emerald Queensland on 25/8/2008. See the picture.

The dress has short sleeves, a round neck and two buttons down the back. The soft 100% cotton fabric is ideal for summer. A unique dress that is simply adorable, just like the Aussie birds.

Blue Lagoon dress

BLUE LAGOON  dress for little girls aged 5.

 

A lovely deep turquoise colour with an unusual hand printed Japanese silky feel fabric on the bodice. The turquoise cotton sleeves and gathered skirt have scalloped hems like gentle waves. The elbow length sleeves can be turned up so that the wavy edge forms cuffs.

The dress has French seams, a round neck with ties and a small bow at the front. You can almost hear the gentle waves lapping on the edge of the lagoon! Ideal for summer for those living in the southern hemisphere or add tights and a cosy cardigan to add warmth for the autumn in the northern hemisphere.

Chest 25 ins, 63.5 cms, Length from shoulder seam to skirt hem is 23.5 ins 60 cms.Sleeve length from shoulder 9 ins, 23 cms.Waist is below the line of the gathers on the skirt.

The fabric. Bodice is 100% acetate crepe, rest of dress is 100% cotton.

Washing. Hand wash separately in warm water due to hand printed bodice, warm iron.

FACT: My "Scarlet" dress has a real painterly quality

My latest design "scarlet" is for age 5 and is a unique one-off dress. The lovely floral fabric has an irridescent shine which makes the scarlet poppies glow . The style of the dress allows the fabric to take centre stage rather than compete. This gorgeous dress is like a breath of summer and has a painterly quality about it. The promise of an English spring and summer is just around the corner.

Once again I really enjoyed designing and creating this lovely silk-like dress with a heavenly fabric & print for your little princesses aged 5.

Monet's Poppy Fields inspired my latest POPPIES Dress

A new dress for a New Year. Poppies is an adorable dress for a 2 year old. The fabric is like an English Summer meadow with scarlet poppies and other flowers scattered randomly. It may be winter here in England at the moment, but its summer in the Southern Hemisphere where our friends and relatives are.
