My latest little girls dress design launched 21/02/12 (how's that for a palindrome?) was surprisingly inspired by a fish! I watched a TV programme about the Great Barrier Reef and saw a purple and orange fish. The dress is called ‘Pippa’ and is for girls aged 3. The trendy double hanky hem design is in a plain purple cloth with a sweetheart neckline. It is sleeveless, with two buttons at the back and a pop of colour with a detachable belt  in orange /lime green which is reversible to feature either colour. The dress has a lined bodice, French seams and would certainly attract admiring glances.

Last week I was working under rather difficult circumstances due to a gas leak outside my house as the pipe had fractured. The supply had to be cut off. This meant that in temperatures of -5c to -7c for over 24 hours there was no central heating. A few fan heaters gave some warmth until the gas men replaced the pipes. Anyhow, my newest dress called ‘Annie’ is now finished – a special occasion dress for age 5. The dress has a black velvet semi-fitted bodice, floating cap sleeves in gold and black lace and a gathered skirt in black fabric with thin vertical lines of gold and silver lurex. The dress has a side zip, is fully lined and also included is a small clutch bag in matching fabric. Roll on summer , I can’t wait!

Via Moonfruit's new retail functionality for SHOP creation I have been able to link one of my feeder websites which has a SHOP on it directly to my Facebook business page @Serendipitygdds.

So as I add new dresses or accessories to my Dresses for Girls website shop they automatically appear in the Facebook shop, which has great graphic views and paypal or credit card sales and shipping options included.

GOLD LACE dress with matching shrug & bow

This beautiful chic dress in gold & black lace is fully lined and fits age 3. The sleeveless dress has a round neck , burnished gold ribbon belt which can be tied at the front or back waist and has a concealed zip. The dress comes with its own short sleeve shrug in matching gold lace which is not lined. The shrug would also look lovely with a white dress. This designer outfit is unique , classy, very well made with top stitching and French seams and would be ideal to wear for a special occasion, such as a party or a wedding. Chest 63.5cms, 25ins Waist 68.5 cms, 27 ins Length from shoulder to hem is 52cms, 20.5 ins Fabric All lace plus the dress is lined in black polyester Washing  Very gentle hand wash due to the delicate lace fabric. Warm iron on silk/ wool setting 

Yes, 3 year olds can look elegant too and my latest unique dress in a luxurious gold lace fabric proves this. The sleeveless dress is fully lined , with burnished gold ribbon ties at the waist and concealed zip at the back. There is also a matching gold lace shrug with short sleeves to complete the outfit. Very stylish. All my dresses are very well made and can be considered as heirlooms to be kept and passed on through the family. All the dresses are designed for ease of movement and have some 'growing room' but please measure your little girl to ensure a good fit.
